About Ruah Arts

We strive to express, connect and dream. As artists, actors invoke the imagination we shape and reflect on our values and challenge not only the world around us but ourselves as well. Through this, we seek to see life and the world from various viewpoints.

We seek out the beauty and power of the written word and appreciate the unspoken beauty around us.

At Ruah Arts we explore our very nature, respond to others and strive to be better versions of ourselves with every encounter, both on and off stage. Ruah Arts has a working relationship with a music school and should a student wish to learn a musical instrument or take up vocal training the opportunity exists to take lessons at the music school.

Benefits of Ruah Arts training

Drama training builds confidence and helps concentration, developing both language & communication skills. The Dramatic Arts encourage cognitive intelligence growth and teach children to co-operate and understand the world around them as well as developing emotional intelligence and assisting with both broad and fine motor skills development.

Drama Training also includes the following benefits:

  • Promotes and encourages people skills as character analysis aids in building an awareness of different types of people.
  • Encourages teamwork - there are few occasions when an actor works in isolation.
  • Increases listening and communication skills.
  • Increases general knowledge especially in terms of history, English usage and geography. It may increase general knowledge in terms of scientific areas of study, depending on the characters and context within which their world exists.
  • Promotes and encourages the use of the imagination, this may improve and develop writing skills useful for everyday communication.
  • Develops confidence and the ability to feel at ease in front of an audience.
  • Teaches one how to make use of stance and voice in order to be noticed and heard, this is especially useful in terms of presentation skills for corporates.
